UPDTE ON DESIGN OF SAHRABA WEBSITE:
1) Multiplayer Backgammon Game – Full Technology Stack (English)
The multiplayer backgammon game uses several modern web technologies working together. Each platform has a specific role in the system:
GitHub – Code Storage
GitHub was used as a secure storage platform for all project files:
-
Frontend files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
-
Backend files (Node.js WebSocket server)
-
Chat system scripts
-
Game logic and multiplayer functions
GitHub acts like an online hard drive where all project files are stored and updated.
Render – Server & Deployment Platform
Render was used to run the backend of the game. It provided:
-
A live Node.js environment
-
A WebSocket server for real‑time multiplayer
-
Automatic deployment from GitHub
-
A public URL for the game server
Render works like a “code runner” platform — similar to a compiler — but instead of converting code, it executes and hosts the server online.
Firebase – Real‑Time Chat Database
Firebase Realtime Database was used to power the chat system inside the game frame.
Firebase provided:
-
Real‑time message storage
-
Instant message updates
-
Automatic synchronization between players
-
A simple API for sending and receiving chat messages
Firebase handled all chat communication separately from the game server.
Game Frame (iframe) – Embedded Game Window
The game was displayed inside a custom HTML frame:
-
The left panel contained the chat (powered by Firebase)
-
The right side displayed the game board inside an iframe
-
The iframe loaded the game from Sahraba.com
-
Messages were sent to the iframe using
postMessage
This allowed the chat and the game to work together in one unified interface.
WebSocket Backend – Multiplayer Engine
The multiplayer logic was powered by a Node.js WebSocket server running on Render.
It handled:
-
Player connections
-
Game rooms
-
Dice rolls
-
Move validation
-
Real‑time updates between players
This backend is the “brain” of the multiplayer system.
WordPress (Sahraba.com) – Main Website Integration
The main website (Sahraba.com) is built with WordPress and Elementor.
It was used to:
-
Host the game page
-
Embed the game frame
-
Provide navigation and UI
-
Connect users to the multiplayer system
WordPress served as the frontend shell for the game.
